The collection is built around two nostalgic stories, Heinz tomato ketchup and Granny’s apple crumble, using lace and lace-like textiles as a way to hide personal memories, playful details and familiar everyday motifs within layered surfaces that reveal more on closer inspection.
The Stories
A playful textile story inspired by Heinz tomato ketchup, using hidden motifs, lace-like linework and bold red tones to turn an everyday family favourite into expressive fashion textiles.
A nostalgic textile story inspired by Granny’s apple crumble, combining apples, garden memories, wellies and custard colours into layered embroidered and printed textiles with hidden detail.
Drawing is central to the collection, allowing playful everyday references to be developed through illustration, repeated linework and hidden motifs before being translated into print, embroidery and lace-like textiles.
